ALBAY
- The world’s near-perfect cone, Mayon Volcano is located in Albay of
the Bicol Region. It stands majestically at 8,189 feet above sea level. From
the broad base, it is about 10 kms. in radius. The crater is 2,451 meters
above sea level and within a diameter of 0.5 km. It has a notched rim where
a pool of boiling lava can be found. Sulfuric steams and gases continually
emit from the crater. Since its recorded eruption of 1616, Mount Mayon has
about 40 recorded eruptions and the worst was on February 1, 1814 which buried
the settlements of Cagsawa and Budiao in the town of Daraga. The latest recorded
eruption was on February 2, 1993 which killed at least 73 people.

BACOLOD
CITY - Dubbed as the “City of Smiles”, Bacolod

DUMAGUETE
CITY -
The capital of Negros Oriental, Dumaguete City is the jump-off point for Apo
Island, a 32-hectare haven for scuba divers which is rapidly attaining international
acclaim as a dive site with its varied array of corals and marine life. It is
also where you find Silliman University, the first private Ame-Protestant University
in the Philippines, and was declared a bird sanctuary with an area of 35 hectares.
